The Romans Road
1) Everyone needs salvation
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
2) The price of sin is death.
Romans 6:24 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
3) Jesus Christ died for our sins.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
4) Salvation is obtained through belief in Jesus Christ
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
5) With salvation comes peace with God. He is no longer angry with us. We are forgiven.
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
WHAT IT MEANS TO OUR FAMILY
The Romans Road is a key series of passages from the Bible that tell mankind about sin, our position in relation to God and our need for salvation. It also tells of God’s plan for salvation and how we can obtain salvation.
Ultimately, Romans 8 verses 38 and 39 do a better job of summing up what this means to us than anything else.
Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
