The King of heaven, whose works are truth and his ways judgment

Daniel 4:1-3

1 Nebuchadnezzar the king, unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you. 2 I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me. 3 How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.

Daniel 4:37

37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

Heavenly Father, we thank you Lord that even when our leaders are not righteous, you are able to direct their paths. We thank you that you have never abdicated your throne and have never left us without your presence and without your promises. We pray for godly leaders, but we also pray for your name to be magnified, even by ungodly leaders. Your Word tells us to pray for our leaders and we do that, we pray that you will bless our leaders with wisdom and discernment and direct their paths towards righteousness. We also pray for their souls that you would save them and set them onto a higher purpose than mere worldly government.
