Healed them All

14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him. 15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

Studying the life of Jesus while He was on the earth is quite revealing. He led a remarkable life, one of a kind. His ministry left in place a world that was forever changed. He was and is the God of the universe, the Creator, and the Great I Am. Amazingly, however, He came into this world a lowly man but presented Himself as a caring, compassionate and loving Savior. Of all things that are written about His life, one of my favorites is the phrase “He healed them all.” Doctors today have amazing tools available to them and, yet, they are not able to heal every patient that come their way. Throughout history, there have been many men that have claimed to be healers, but not one could ever claim to have healed everyone who came to him. But, Jesus did.
In at least three places in the gospels, we see Jesus healing everyone who came to Him. One can only imagine what it must have been like when Jesus was on the earth. The sick were healed, the lame could walk, the blind gained sight, the deaf gained hearing, and the dead were brought back to life! He healed them all! The God of the Universe cared enough to heal sick people! Jesus did not limit His healings to only the worthy, the rich, or to those who could offer him something. In fact, Jesus healed the lowliest of people, the ones who could offer nothing in return. Some people were healed just by being in His presence and touching Him. What an accomplishment!
Wasn’t healing broken lives and raising people from the dead enough? Surely that is enough! For Jesus, however, this was only a small window into His greatness and power! Jesus healed more than just the body; He healed souls!

Rejoice family! Rejoice! The great physician healed all that came to him. As Christians we have already tasted of his healing; our souls have been brought back to life! Return continuously to the healing power of the Great Physician. When our hearts are broken, go to Jesus. He can heal broken hearts. When our bodies are racked with pain or disease, go to Jesus. He can heal that as well. Sometimes, He will not take away our suffering, but He will always heal our innermost being and give us the grace and peace we require.
