Heavenly Father, thank you for another day to live in your presence, to experience your creation and to witness your greatness. Help us to worship you with open hearts. May your name be magnified throughout all the earth today and forever! Remove from our minds the thoughts that steal our joy, that rob us of our relationships and that deprive us of our hope. Help us to see clearly what you have done for our family and continue to do for us every day. Give us sound minds and wise thoughts that we might worship you rightly, serve you faithfully, and recognize your majesty and greatness.
I confess that I have sinned against you, have transgressed your laws, and have separated myself from your ways. My tongue has spoken perversely, my eyes have looked upon things they should not, my ears have listened to sounds that defile me, my feet have taken me to places I ought not to go, and my hands have worked wickedness. Oh God, cleanse me of my sins, make me to be upright in your sight.
Oh Lord, give us Godly men and women to lead us and let us see your hand at work in our world. We live in a sick and perverse world. Be with our leaders today and supernaturally guide their decisions in the way that you would have them to go. Remember your people who are still living in our country and praying to you. Forgive us of our sins and restore our country to greatness by bringing a quick end to the wickedness we commit and by establishing yourself as the guiding and sustaining force behind our nation. May we all repent of our sins and transgressions, forsake our impure thoughts and wicked ways and run to the Savior.
Help us to not be subdued by the wickedness around us but to boldly come to you with all of our needs, all of our sadness, all of our joys and all of our desires. Do not let our own wickedness separate us from you, but knock down the walls that we build and stand before us shining as the brightest light we have ever seen. Let us, I pray, witness your majesty this day and be awed by your greatness. Let us see a glimpse of who you are and what you have planned for us.
Thank you father for your son, Jesus Christ, who died for us. Thank you for the promises you have given us and that sustain our very existence. Thank you for the beautiful day and for the promise of a bright future with you.
In the name of Jesus Christ,
